Nissan #ProJackets Golf Report

May 3, 2016

THE FLATS – Bryce Molder, Ollie Schniederjans and Seth Reeves all earned top-10 finishes in separate events on different tours over the weekend, leading a contingent of nine former Yellow Jackets cashing checks on the links.

Molder turned in a tie for eighth place in the rain-shortened Zurich Classic of New Orleans, firing rounds of 71-67-67 for an 11-under-par total of 205. It was Molder’s fourth top-10 finish of 2015-16 and the second in his last three events. He jumped 13 spots to 62nd in the FedEx Cup standings.

Chesson Hadley earned his highest finish of the season, a tie for 20th place, after carding rounds of 71-69-68 for an 8-under-par 208. He moved up 12 spots to No. 158 in FedEx Cup points. Roberto Castro and Cameron Tringale both tied for 48th place at 211 (-5).

In the second round of the 2016 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, Roberto Castro drains a long-range eagle putt from 35 feet on the par-5 7th hole.

In the opening round of the 2016 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, Cameron Tringale hits his chip to two feet on the par-5 7th hole, then drains the birdie putt.

Meanwhile, Ollie Schniederjans tied for seventh place at the United Leasing and Finance Championship in Newburgh, Ind., on the Web.com Tour, posting a 7-under-par total of 281. Schniederjans has finished T-35, 2nd (lost in playoff), T-13 and T-7 in his last four events, and ranked ninth in earnings.

Richard Werenski continued his solid play of late with a tie for 14th place at 283 (-5), and is eighth in earnings. Kyle Scott, Anders Albertson and Troy Matteson all missed the cut. Albertson dipped to 18th in earnings.

With another weekend off in the Web.com schedule this week, Schniederjans is using the last of his seven allotted PGA Tour sponsor exemptions to play in this week’s Wells Fargo Championship, played at Quail Hollow Country Club in Charlotte, N.C. In his first six PGA Tour events, Schniederjans made four cuts with a high finish of T-38. He joins Castro, Hadley and Tringale in the Wells Fargo field.

Seth Reeves, who recently earned exempt status on the MacKenzie Tour (formerly PGA Tour Canada), continued his excellent 2016 run by tying for second place (201, -15) at the SwingThought.com Tour event at Savannah Lakes. Reeves is No. 6 in that tour’s money list. Also earning some money at Savannah Lakes were Drew Cziuchry (T-17) and James White (T-19), who is third on the money list.
