THE FLATS – Stewart Cink and Cameron Tringale compete in limited field CJ Cup, Tringale and Hadley are headed to Japan … Will Tringale get his first PGA Tour win this season? … Five Yellow Jackets looking to advance to finals of Korn Ferry Q-School this week … More details below in this week’s Georgia Tech #ProJackets Report.

CINK, TRINGALE REP JACKETS AT CJ CUP IN LAS VEGAS
Only Stewart Cink and Cameron Tringale were in the limited, 78-man field last weekend at the CJ Cup at Summit, a no-cut event at The Summit in Las Vegas. Cink tied for 49th place with a 13-under-par 275 total in his first action of the 2021-22 season, while Tringale tied for 59th at 10-under-par 278.
Rory McIlroy won the event at 25-under-par.
The PGA Tour has an event this weekend in Chiba, Japan, the ZOZO Championship, and Chesson Hadley joins Tringale in the limited field. Richy Werenski, who is not in the field, holds the tournament single-round record with a 61 last fall when the event was held at Sherwood Country Club in California.

WHO’S MOST LIKELY TO GET FIRST PGA TOUR WIN THIS SEASON?
There are a number of very good players still looking for their first win on the PGA Tour. In our current series, we are taking a look at the players who might be next to get that first win. Today’s subject is Cameron Tringale.
This one is tough because it seems that Tringale can get himself into contention but can never close the deal. The numbers simply don’t lie.
Amazingly, Tringale has made 311 starts on the PGA Tour without a win. He has finished second on three occasions in his career. He was T2 at the Barclays in 2014, finished second to Justin Rose at the 2015 Zurich Classic and was T2 at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in 2016.
Last season, Tringale made 27 starts on tour and was able to make the cut 20 times. He had 11 Top 25 showings and four Top 10s. Including in those were two third-place finishes. He was T3 at the Valspar Championship, then finished one shot out of a playoff, in third, at the RSM Classic.

FIVE JACKETS SET FOR SECOND STAGE OF KORN FERRY Q-SCHOOL
Second stage qualifying Korn Ferry Tour takes place at four sites this week (Oct. 19-22). At least one Yellow Jacket is in the field at all four venues, attempting to advance to the Q-School finals, which will be held Nov. 4-7 in Savannah, Ga.
Andy Ogletree and Luke Schniederjans will be in the second stage event at the Robert Trent Jones Trail Highlands and Marshwood courses in Dothan, Ala. Nicholas Thompson will attempt to advance from the Plantation Reserve Golf Club in Plantation, Fla., while Noah Norton will compete at the University of New Mexico Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M., and Chris Petefish will try to advance at Bear Creek Golf Club in Murrieta, Calif.
Drew Czuchry did not advance from the second stage event last week at Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville, Fla.

I just spent the last hour texting with @henrikstenson. The problem is that I thought I was texting with Henrik Simonsen who is the golf professional at one of my home courses. On my phone it says Henrik and there is an HS. Stenson just went with it. HE IS SO FUNNY!!!
