Glencoe, Ala. – Minghao Wang fired rounds of 72 and 73 Monday and is tied for 20th place, eight shots off the pace after two rounds of the Grub Mart Intercollegiate golf tournament at Silver Lakes Golf Club.
Wang, a junior from Reunion, Fla., has a 36-hole total of 1-over-par 145. Dustin Korte of Austin Peay State shot 71-65 Monday to take a three-stroke lead at 8-under-par 136.
Meanwhile, red-shirt freshman Seth Reeves shot 76-71 and is tied for 28th place at 3-over 147. Red-shirt junior William Miller is tied for 59th place after rounds of 77-76 for a 36-hole total of 153 (9-over-par).
The three Tech players are competing as individuals in the event, in which Austin Peay holds a two-shot lead over host Jacksonville State in the team race. The final 18 holes are set to begin at 8:40 a.m. Eastern time Tuesday.
