– Georgia Tech’s Cameron Tringale is featured this week in Golfweek.com’s On Campus video segment. The senior from Laguna Niguel, Calif., is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation.
Here are some quick facts on Tringale’s career:
Second in the ACC this year in stroke average (71.05) … cumulative 11-under-par over 21 rounds … has not failed to count for the team in any round this year (only five times has not counted for Tech in his career) … seven rounds in the 60s (low of 67 four times), 12 rounds of par or under par … head-to-head record this year is 521-57-8.
The Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas last weekend was his fourth collegiate win (ties for seventh most in Tech history) … freshman year he won the UH-Hilo Invitational and the ACC Championship, this year the Brickyard Collegiate and the SHC)
In 42 career tournaments, has 20 top-10 finishes, 30 in the top-20 … has never missed a tournament for Tech in his career
2nd-team All-American in 2006 and 2007, honorable mention last year … 3-time All-ACC
Career stroke average in 128 rounds is 71.79 (if career ended today, would be second-best all-time at Tech).
