Tee Times For NCAA Golf Championships Announced

May 22, 2001

ATLANTA – The second-ranked Georgia Tech men’s golf team will be one of the first teams to begin its quest for an NCAA Championship as the NCAA announced first and second-round tee times for next week’s Men’s Golf Championships in Durham, N.C. The 72-hole event will be contested at the 7,088-yard, par-72 Duke University Golf Club.

The Yellow Jackets will be the No. 19 seed entering the event, as seedings were determined according to last weekend’s regional results. Tech will play in threesomes with in-state foe Augusta State and Stanford in the first two rounds.

In Wednesday’s first round, the Jackets will begin play on the 10th tee, starting at 7:18 a.m., and on Thursday, Tech will begin play on the first hole at 12:18 p.m.

Tee times and pairings for the final two rounds will be determined after cutting the field to 15 teams and pairing teams according to the first two round’s results.
