Schniederjans is October's ACC Golfer of the Month

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech junior golfer Ollie Schniederjans has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Golfer of the Month for October after a first-place finish in the United States Collegiate Championship and a tie for fourth place in the Brickyard Collegiate.

Schniederjans picked up his second victory of the fall with a four-stroke win at the USCC in Alpharetta, Ga., with a 10-under par 206 for 54 holes, two shots shy of the tournament scoring record. Though he officially tied for fourth at the Brickyard, he finished just one shot out of a three-team tie for medalist honors with an 8-under 208. Schniederjans helped Tech finish second in both events by a total of three strokes.

Overall during the fall season, Schniederjans won twice, finished third once and tied for fourth (one stroke out of the lead) in one tournament. He posted a cumulative scoring average of 69.5 and a won-lost record of 309-5 with 11 of 12 rounds at par or under. The Powder Springs, Ga., native is currently ranked No. 2 by Golfstat and Golfweek/Sagarin.
