Molder Named Golf World Collegiate Player Of The Week

ATLANTA (October 4) – Georgia Tech senior golfer Bryce Molder (Conway, Ark.) has been named the Golf World Collegiate Player of the Week, the magazine announced on Thursday.

Molder, who entered the 2000-01 season as the top-ranked player by both Golf World and Golfweek magazines, captured the individual title at the Ping/Golfweek Preview on September 25-26 with his 4-under-par 36-hole total of 68-72-140. He has now won six tournaments in his Yellow Jacket career, which puts him alone in third place on Tech’s all-time list, trailing only David Duval (8) and Matt Kuchar (7).

Molder and his Georgia Tech teammates will return to action this weekend when they travel to Rocky Face, Ga. to compete in the Carpet Capital Collegiate at The Farm. That tournament has been a good one for the team, as Molder has won or shared the last three individual titles, and the Yellow Jackets have won the event on four previous occasions.
