Hadley Ties for 16th at Western Refining All-American Golf

El Paso, Texas –

Georgia Tech’s Chesson Hadley shot a 2-under-par 69 Tuesday to finish in a tie for 16th place at the 34th Western Refining College All-American Golf Classic.

Hadley, a junior from Raleigh, N.C., finished with a 54-hole total of 216, three shots over par on the 6,842-yard El Paso Country Club. Hadley finished nine shot out of the lead.

Marquette’s Mike Van Sickle sank a seven foot birdie on the sixth playoff hole to capture the title over Oklahoma State’s Trent Leon. Both players finished 54 holes at 6-under-par 207.

Van Sickle used a stellar round of 63 on Tuesday to punch his way from 11th place to second place at six-under for the tournament. His 63 was one off of the tournament record.
