Hadley Falls to 16th at Western Refining Golf

ATLANTA – Chesson Hadley fell back to a tie for 16th place after a closing 77 Tuesday at the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic in El Paso, Texas. Cameron Tringale fired a 2-under-par 69 Tuesday and finished 24th.

Twenty-eight collegiate All-Americans competed in the 54-hole event at the El Paso Country Club. The tournament, hosted by the Sun Bowl Association, is played at the Par-71, 6,817-yard El Paso Country Club.

Hadley, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C., stood at 1-over-par through 12 holes, but saw his round unravel with a bogey at 13 and consecutive double-bogeys at 15 and 16. Tringale, a junior from Laguna Niguel, Calif., played his back nine in 2-under-par after an even-par front, but advanced only one position in the final standings.
