THE FLATS –Matt Kuchar and Cameron Tringale enjoy competitive weekends at Memorial Tournament … Paul Haley II and Anders Albertson sit in solid top-25 position on Korn Ferry Tour … Luke Schniederjans and Tyler Strafaci begin Canadian Tour season … Will Dickson and Noah Norton perform well on GPro Tour … More details below in this week’s Georgia Tech #ProJackets Report.

KUCHAR, TRINGALE PLAY WEEKEND AT JACK’S PLACE
Matt Kuchar and Cameron Tringale enjoyed solid performances last weekend at the Memorial Tournament, the event hosted by Jack Nicklaus at his Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
Both players advanced to the weekend and finished tied for 45th and 48th, respectively, and a golf course that yielded only one double-digit, under-par finishing score, 13-under by the winner, Billy Horschel.
Kuchar (40th) and Tringale (29th) are solidly inside the top 70 of the FedEx Cup points list which would advance them to the second weekend of the FedEx Cup playoffs later in August.
Stewart Cink missed the cut and sits just outside the top 125 (129th), but the 48-year-old eight-time winner is exempt next year anyway as a result of his two victories during the 2020-21 season.
The tour moves North of the border this week for the RBC Canadian Open, with Seth Reeves and Vincent Whaley the only Yellow Jackets in the field. Kuchar, who is an RBC-sponsored player, is not in the field due to current Canadian travel restrictions related to COVID-19.

HALEY EARNS THIRD TOP-10 KORN FERRY FINISH
Two Yellow Jackets remain in solid position to earn PGA Tour cards with eight regular-season events remaining on the Korn Ferry Tour schedule.
Paul Haley II made a move to solidify his top-25 standing on the tour last weekend, tying for sixth place at the REX Hospital Open. The 2011 ACC Champion posted a 13-under-par total of 271, anchored by a second-round 65, and moved up to No. 17 on the points list for the tour. Haley has three top-10 finishes and six top-25s in 14 events this year.
Anders Albertson, who won the Visit Knoxville Open two weeks ago to position himself for a top-25 points finish, tied for 52nd in his first action since then, and sits No. 13 on the points list.
Chris Petefish and J.T. Griffin, each of whom have conditional status on the Korn Ferry Tour, missed the cut. Petefish sits No. 69 on the points list and had a third-place finish two weeks ago at the NV5 Invitational.
Chris Petefish grinded hard to finish -3 for the day and -2 for the event to miss the weekend by one. The good news- heads home for 2 days off then 4 weeks on! So lucky to play KFT! Carolina on my mind – rest up and Let’s Go! pic.twitter.com/eEe1S2217z

SCHNIEDERJANS, STRAFACI KICK OFF CANADIAN TOUR SEASON
Four-year Georgia Tech teammates Tyler Strafaci and Luke Schniederjans began their 2022 seasons on PGA Tour Canada last weekend in Victoria, British Columbia by both earning checks at the Royal Beach Victoria Open, the first event on the tour in Canada since 2019. Alternate schedules have been played the last two years in the United States due to travel restrictions brought on by COVID-19.
Schniederjans, who has also played some events on the Korn Ferry Tour this year while awaiting the start of the Canadian tour schedule, tied for 31st place with a 6-under-par t6otal of 274. Strafaci, who played the Charles Schwab Challenge on a sponsor exemption, tied for 56th place.
The 11-event schedule resumes June 16-19 with the ATB Classic in Alberta.

OGLETREE IN FIELD FOR FIRST LIV GOLF EVENT

The field includes six major champions and 27 of the current top-150 players in the world, and they will compete for a portion of the $25 million purse.
