THE FLATS – Stewart Cink gets his second top 10 in last four events … Paul Haley II remains in top 20 on the Korn Ferry Tour … David Duval posts season-best finish at TPC Sugarloaf … More details below in this week’s Georgia Tech #ProJackets Report.

CINK DIALS IN TOP-10 FINISH AT WELLS FARGO
Seven Yellow Jackets were in the field for last weekend’s Wells Fargo Championship in Potomac, Md., and Stewart Cink came away with his second top-10 finish of the spring, a tie for ninth place after firing a closing 65,, which was the low round of the day. The eight-time PGA Tour winner, who opened with a 66, then struggled with weather conditions in the middle two rounds along with everyone else, posted a 2-under-par 278.
Cink, who has 104 top-10 finishes in his long career, rose from No. 154 to No. 132 on the FedEx Cup points list, continuing to shake off a difficult start to his 2021-22 season. He has as many missed cuts as made cuts (7), but both of his top-10 finishes have come in his last four events.
Matt Kuchar was the only other Jacket to play the weekend, tying for 49th place at 287 (+7). He is 39th on the FedEx Cup list.
Chesson Hadley, Seth Reeves, Richy Werenski and Vincent Whaley all missed the cut, as did Nicholas Thompson, who got into the field through Monday qualifying and played his first PGA Tour event since 2017.
Kuchar returns to one of his favorite venues this week for the AT&T Byron Nelson, where his tied for 17th place last year, and Whaley returns to him hometown event, where he tied for 29th in 2021. Reeves and Werenski also are in the field.
Stewart Cink closes the Wells Fargo Championship with a 5-under 65, equaling his best score in 52 rounds at the event. It marks his first final round in the 60s at the Wells Fargo Championship.

HALEY STAYS THE COURSE ON KORN FERRY TOUR
Paul Haley II remains in solid position on the Korn Ferry Tour points list (No. 19) after tying for 22nd place last weekend at the Simmons Bank Championship in College Grove, Tenn., just south of Nashville. Haley shot rounds of 69-69-70-72 for an 8-under-par 280. The top 25 points leaders at the end of the regular season in August will be awarded 2022-23 PGA Tour cards. After missing three straight cuts, Haley has tied for ninth and 22nd in his last two starts.
Anders Albertson, who stands No. 52 in points, tied for 51st last weekend, while Will Dickson, a Monday qualifier playing in his second Korn Ferry event, missed the cut.
Albertson and Haley move with the tour this weekend to Knoxville for the Visit Knoxville Open. Chris Petefish, who has conditional status on the tour, earned a spot through Monday qualifying.

DUVAL, MIZE COME TO ATLANTA AREA
David Duval posted the highest finish of his rookie year on the PGA Tour Champions last weekend, tying for 31st at the Mitsubishi Electric Classic at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Ga. Duval, a four time All-America at Georgia Tech and a 13-time winner on the PGA Tour, has made seven starts on the Champions circuit. His best prior finish was a tie for 34th at a tournament with the same sponsor name, the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai in Hawai’i back in January.
Duval is No. 70 currently in Charles Schwab Cup points, while Larry Mize is 85th. Mize tied for 71st last weekend.
Both players are in the field this week for the first major of the PGA Tour Champions season, the Regions Tradition in Birmingham, Ala.

Schniederjans earned a tie for second place at 10-under-par 134 at the Nashville Challenge, three shots off the lead, while Griffin tied for seventh place at 8-under-par 136.
