THE FLATS – Mississippi native Andy Ogletree competing at Sanderson Farms Championship along with Chesson Hadley and four other Jackets … Tyler Strafaci and three other Jackets in Korn Ferry Tour qualifying this week … More details below in this week’s Georgia Tech #ProJackets Report.

OGLETREE, HADLEY, FOUR OTHER JACKETS COMPETING IN MISSISSIPPI
Six Yellow Jackets are in the field this week as the PGA Tour resumes its 2021-22 season in Jackson, Miss., with the Sanderson Farms Championship, most notably Mississippi native son Andy Ogletree, who makes his first PGA Tour start since having surgery on his hip back in April.
Ogletree, who is in the field on a sponsor exemption, returned to competition two weeks ago and won the Gaston Championship on the GPro Tour, picking up a first-place check of $15,000.
Also notable is Chesson Hadley, who began his ninth full season on the Tour two weeks ago at the Fortinet Championship. This week, Hadley will play the first two rounds Thursday and Friday, fly to Atlanta to be officially inducted into the Georgia Tech Sports Hall of Fame, and return to the Country Club of Jackson to play rounds 3 and 4.
Also competing this week are Seth Reeves, Cameron Tringale, Richy Werenski and Vincent Whaley. Tringale was the only one of the four to make the cut at the Fortinet Championship.

FOUR JACKETS IN KORN FERRY QUALIFYING THIS WEEK
The final six events in the first stage of the Korn Ferry Tour qualifying school began Tuesday, with four Georgia Tech alumni beginning the long grind to earn a spot on that circuit for the 2022 season.
James Clark, who has played events on the GPro Tour during the past year, Chris Petefish, who compete on the Forme Tour in 2021 and has status on the Mackenzie Tour (PGA Tour Canada), and Tyler Strafaci, the 2020 U.S. Amateur champion who has eight PGA Tour starts on his resume, all begin their quest Tuesday at the Club at Irish Creek in Kannapolis, N.C.
Noah Norton, who graduated from Tech last spring and earned a pair of starts on the Korn Ferry Tour last fall, including one top-10 finish, is in the field at Dayton Valley Golf Club in Dayton, Nev.
Drew Czuchry made it through the first stage of qualifying last week, tying for 15th place last week at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga. The 2015 graduate shot 6-under-par 282, including a closing 66 to finish among the top 21 and ties to advance. Second-stage qualifiers take place in mid-October.
Before that, there are 11 more first-stage qualifying events to be held, five of those this week.

I’ve only watched on and off. But this Ryder Cup has been spectacular. The quality of play. The players. The course. The lake. The boats. The drone footage. The crowds. All of it. Absolutely electric.

We have a million kids over this afternoon. It’s been absolute chaos with running around and noise. I now know why Walt Disney created his movies. Turned one of those bad boys on and it has been crickets. #Praise
