Georgia Tech meets its fifth nationally ranked opponent this season on Monday night. The Yellow Jackets look to continue a five-game winning streak after opening this road swing going 2-0 at Clemson and Duke. Most recently, the Jackets upended the Blue Devils in Cameron Indoor Stadium for the first time since 2016 behind four players in double-figures. Lorela Cubaj finished with a team-high 15 points in the win, followed by Eylia Love with 14 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
NC State comes into the meeting off a win against Florida State, putting the Wolfpack back in winnings ways. A game earlier, Notre Dame snapped a nine-game winning streak by the Wolfpack and handed the league’s top team its first loss in conference play. Elissa Cunane and Diamond Johnson lead the Wolfpack offensively, averaging 13.5 and 11.4 points per game, respectively. Cunane leads NCSU on the boards, securing 8.0 rebounds per game on average.
Monday’s meeting marks the 75th on the hardwood between NC State and Georgia Tech in program history. The Wolfpack lead the series, 50-24, and have taken the past three meetings. Georgia Tech, however, pocketed the last meeting in Reynolds Coliseum on Feb. 16, 2020, edging the Wolfpack, 65-61.
