>> Junior RHP Buck Farmer gets the call is Friday’s series opener, which marks his 25th career start as a Yellow Jacket. The preseason All-America sports a 2.81 ERA with 44 strikeouts and has won four straight starts (4-1).
>> Tech brings the ACC’s highest scoring offense to Chestnut Hill, which has scored 169 runs (8.0 per game) and is slugging a league-leading .478. Junior Sam Dove is second in the ACC in average (.405) and is riding a career-best 12-game hitting streak. Sophomore Daniel Palka is second in the ACC in homers (seven) and sophomore Kyle Wren is third in runs (29).
>> Sophomore Zane Evans has been named to the watch list for the Johnny Bench Award, which is presented annually to the top catcher in college baseball. Evans is hitting .333, with a team-leading 23 RBI. He has also been effective in six relief appearances on the mound, and one start.
