Tech notched their record ninth Atlantic Coast Conference win of the season in their last outing, a 73-49 drubbing of Virginia on Thursday, to improve to their best conference record in school history. In her fourth season as Tech’s head coach, MaChelle Joseph holds a 59-54 overall record and has guided her Jackets to one of the best season’s in school history, just two wins shy of their highest win total, 20, earned during the 2002-03 season.

Not to be outdone, senior Stephanie Higgs came away with her seventh 20-point outing Thursday, notching 25 points for the Jackets. Higgs is Tech’s leading scorer with 15.5 points per game.
