Women’s Basketball Tabbed No. 18 in AP Poll

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech women’s basketball moved to No. 18 in the Associated Press Top 25 women’s basketball poll released on Monday.

The Yellow Jackets remain among the nation’s top 25 for the second installment after being slated No. 17 in the preseason poll on Oct. 19. Georgia Tech is one of five Atlantic Coast Conference schools marked in the national poll, joining No. 5 NC State, No. 10 Louisville, No. 17 Florida State and No. 25 Virginia Tech.

Tech collected three wins to open the season at 3-0, defeating Central Michigan, Kennesaw State and Belmont. Eylia Love and Nerea Hermosa led the Jackets offensively through the first three games, averaging 11.3 and 11.0 points per game, respectively, while Lorela Cubaj recorded a pair of double-doubles.
