Entry #2

Well hello again! Let me start by saying that I LOVE our freshmen! They are all so sweet! I’m so proud of the way they are blending in with the team so quickly as well as already showing improvements in the weight room.

The past two weeks have been pretty busy for me. Last week Chioma Nnamaka and Jill Ingram (former GT WBB Players) were in town and I wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. We went out to eat a few times and to the park. It felt good to get to hang out with my old teammates again. I have also gone to a few of the Atlanta Dream games. They have a really good team this year! Actually, last night Janie Mitchell and I went to the game. We had great time catching up and laughing about old times as always.

In the weight room we just completed our second cycle. I can’t believe the summer is half way over! We only have a few more lifts and then we will be maxing out! We are all excited to see how we have improved from last year. Tim (our strength and conditioning coach) has us doing this exercise circuit…it is a KILLER! The first week we were all pretty tired but our conditioning is improving every week so it’s not as bad anymore, actually, I like it.

Well this weekend is my birthday, (July the fourth to be exact) and I’ll be the big 2-1! I wish everyone a happy 4th of July and you will hear more from me next week!
