ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech women’s basketball team will conclude its regular season on Saturday afternoon by hosting Morris Brown in a non-conference match-up that will tip off at 4 p.m. at Alexander Memorial Coliseum.
The Yellow Jackets (14-12) will look to get back into the win column and snap a four-game losing skid that continued on Thursday night on the road at Clemson. The Wolverines (3-23) are in their first year of Division I competition and dropped a game with Alabama A&M on Wednesday night.
Tech played one of its better games in recent outings, getting scoring contributions from a number of players, including sophomore forward Fallon Stokes, who netted a game-high 21 points in the contest with Clemson. She was joined in double-digit scoring by senior forward Regina Tate, who had her second-straight solid outing, netting 14 points and grabbing a game-high 15 rebounds, for her third double-double of the year. Tate’s 15 boards were 10 more than any Clemson player in the game.
The Jackets hold a perfect 2-0 record against Morris Brown in the all-time series entering Saturday’s game.
Tech’s next competition following Saturday’s contest will be in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament in Greensboro, N.C., where the Yellow Jackets will be seeded either fifth or sixth depending on this weekend’s final conference games.
