ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech women’s basketball team will return to action this Sunday when it hosts Wake Forest in a regionally-televised contest. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Alexander Memorial Coliseum and will be aired by the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Regional Sports Network, which includes FSN South, Comcast SportsNet and Sun Sports. The Jackets enter the contest against the Demon Deacons with an 11-6 record and are seeking their first ACC win of the season after starting 0-4 in conference play.
Wake Forest is 10-6 on the season and boasts a 2-2 mark in conference play after upsetting No. 18 Virginia Tech this past week.

The Jackets and Demon Deacons will be squaring off for the 51st time in history, with Tech winning 28 of the 50 previous meetings.
Stephanie Higgs currently leads the team in scoring this season (11.6 ppg), just ahead of Chioma Nnamaka, who is averaging 11.3 points per game and Janie Mitchell, with 10.8 points per contest.
Tech has shot 40 percent from the field thus far this season, led by Jessica Williams, who has converted on over 56 percent of her shots. Janie Mitchell and Jacqua Williams both lead Tech in three-point shooting, connecting on over 45 percent from beyond the arc, while Mitchell paces Tech from the charity stripe, where she is shooting 80 percent.
Mitchell also leads the team in rebounding, with an average of 7.5 per game, while senior Kasha Terry has 5.1 rebounds per game and has recorded 33 blocks this season. Sophomore point guard Jill Ingram leads Tech in both assists (51) and steals (38) while Higgs is second in assists (34) and third in steals (33).
Following the game against Wake, Tech will hit the road for a matchup with Maryland in College Park Thursday at 7 p.m. before returning home for three-straight games beginning with Clemson next Sunday.
