Tech Co-Captain Upgraded to Probable for Monday's Tilt With Miami

Atlanta – Junior co-captain and leading rebounder, Janie Mitchell, was upgraded to probable Monday announced Georgia Tech head coach MaChelle Joseph.

The Jackson, Miss. native went down in the first half of Tech’s Jan. 4 win over Winston-Salem State after she collided with a defender in the lane. Mitchell, who averages 6.7 RPG and 13.4 PPG for the Jackets, suffered a Medial Collateral Ligament sprain in her left knee and was projected to miss two to four weeks.

Joseph says that Mitchell has participated in two team practices and is feeling much better. However, it is not definite that she will play in Monday’s game against Miami. The Miami game will tip off at 4:30 p.m. and will air live on FOX Sports Net South.
