Tickets for this weekend’s NCAA Atlanta Super Regional between Georgia Tech and Georgia are completely sold out. Capacity at Tech’s Russ Chandler Stadium is 4,157.
The best-of-three series will take place Friday at 2 p.m. ET, Saturday at 12 noon ET, and Sunday, if necessary, at 12 noon ET.
Television coverage is available on ESPN and ESPN2, with Bill Roth and Larry Conley calling the action
Friday’s game will be shown nationally on ESPN. Saturday’s game is scheduled for ESPN2 and Sunday for ESPN, but the Saturday and Sunday games will be part of ESPN’s “Whip Around Coverage,” meaning that the network will be switching to other Super Regional games.
Cable subscribers will receive games of interest with market protection, meaning that cable subscribers in the Atlanta area should receive the Georgia Tech games on ESPN or ESPN2 in their entirety, but such decisions are at the discretion of the cable provider.
In addition, college baseball fans can purchase the “ESPN College Grand Slam” pay-per-view package to add every game not shown on ESPN and ESPN2 from June 12-14. Details are available on the NCAA website at www.ncaasports.com.
Subscribers of DirecTV and Dish Network who do not purchase the pay-per-view package will receive the whip around feed (best action going on) from the various sites on ESPN and ESPN2.
Tech fans should contact their cable or satellite provider for details.
Radio coverage for the Saturday and Sunday games will be on WQXI-AM 790, featuring Wes Durham and Randy Carroll. Friday’s radio coverage is TBA.
