THE FLATS –Georgia Tech announced Wednesday that single-game tickets for the 15 2012-13 Yellow Jacket women’s basketball home games are on sale.
The Georgia Tech season will open Nov. 11 against traditional power Tennessee at 2 p.m. The contest with the Lady Vols will be Tech’s “NCAA Pack The House” game.
The Yellow Jackets host Kennesaw State Nov. 13 and Marquette Nov. 18 before going on the road for the first time. Tech entertain in-state rival Georgia at 2 p.m. Dec. 2 and will conclude the non-conference portion of its home schedule with a noon matinee against Washington, Dec. 21.
With the expansion of the ACC schedule to 18 games, Georgia Tech will host nine conference opponents at the new McCamish Pavilion.
Florida State visits Atlanta to open the conference portion of the schedule for the Jackets Jan. 3. Tech will also host defending ACC champion Maryland on Jan. 20. The Yellow Jackets will celebrate Play4Kay Day against North Carolina on Feb. 10.
Single-game tickets for Tennessee can be purchased for $10 and groups of 15 or more can purchase tickets for $5 each. For all other home games, tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors or $2 for groups of 15 or more.
Georgia Tech also has a three-game “Super Sunday Plan” available for $20 which includes the Tennessee, Marquette and Georgia games. Full season tickets can still be purchased for only $65. All ticket purchases can be made by visiting RamblinWreck.com or by calling 888-TECH-TIX.
The Yellow Jackets enter the 2012-13 season coming off the best season in school history, a 26-overall and 12-ACC win campaign capped by a run to only Tech’s second ACC championship game appearance and the Jackets’ first Sweet 16 berth.
Led by All-America candidate Tyaunna Marshall, and All-ACC candidates Dawnn Maye and Sydney Wallace, the Yellow Jackets will be seeking their seventh straight NCAA Tournament appearance in 2012-13.
