Former Yellow Jacket center Sasha Goodlett has inked a camp contract with the Chicago Sky. Goodlett will join the Chicago Sky when training camp opens on Sunday, April 27, 2014.
Goodlett recently played for Woori Hansae in the South Korean WKBL. In 40 games, Goodlett averaged 9.7 ppg and 6.5 rpg and was selected to the Koren WKBL All-Star game. Goodlett also has experience playing for the Arras Pays d’Artois Basket Feminin in the French league and at the Heilongjiang Cenneng (WBCA) in the Chinese League.
In the 2012 WNBA Draft, Goodlett was selected 11th overall by the Indiana Fever. During her rookie season, the 6-foot-5 center appeared in 26 games for the Fever averaging 3.1 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. In 2013, Goodlett appeared in 25 games for the Indiana Fever and delivered a career-high 5 offensive rebounds in a game against Connecticut. In 2012, Goodlett helped the Fever win the WNBA Championship.
Goodlett graduated from Georgia Tech in 2012 where she finished her career ranked 10th in points scored (1,364), ninth in rebounds (760) and fifth in blocked shots (127). Goodlett set the all-time school record for most games played in career with 133. During her final season as a Yellow Jacket, she earned All-ACC Second Team and ACC All-Tournament First Team honors. Goodlett became just the second Georgia Tech player ever selected in the first round of the WNBA Draft following Alex Montgomery.
