June 1, 2001

Durham, N.C. – The third round of play at the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship was suspended at 3:00 p.m., on Friday afternoon and at the time play was halted, the Tech men’s golf team was tied for eighth place at 7-over-par. The Yellow Jackets as a team had completed 10 holes of play, and were at 2-over-par for the tournament through 45 holes of play. Arizona continues to lead the team competition with a total of 14-under-par through 44 holes.

Tech’s individuals are being led in the third round by senior Bryce Molder, who was at 4-under-par through 11 holes of play on the day, and at 3-under-par for the tournament.

Play in the third round will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday with a shotgun start to complete that round, with the final round beginning at approximately 9:00 a.m. with the first tee times of that round.
