Matt Wieters and the Washington Nationals continue to stay well out in front atop of the National League East Division, while Blake Wood and the Cincinnati Reds are just four games out of first-place in the NL Central Division despite having a record of just 29-35 on the year to date.
Buck Farmer, who was recalled to the Detroit Tigers on June 7, went 6.2 innings with five strikeouts in a win over the Angels that same night. For the Tigers this year, Farmer is 2-0 over three starts. He has posted an ERA of 3.52 and struck out 20 batters over 15.1 innings of work.
