Nissan #ProJackets Baseball Report

May 17, 2017

THE FLATS — With the summer looming the #ProJackets continue to stay hot for their respective squads. Charlie Blackmon continues to lead the Colorado Rockies offensively, while Derek Dietrich makes a claim to be the everyday lead-off hitter for the Miami Marlins. Veteran Matt Wieters is in the midst of a season-high hitting streak, while Blake Wood continues to come out of the bullpen for the Reds on a consistent basis.

Blackmon continues to swing a hot bat and raise his batting average this season, as he is now hitting .319 on the season. Over his last 10 games, Blackmon has hit .400 (16-for-40) with two home runs, three triples, a double, five RBIs and nine runs scored.

Over his last three games alone, Blackmon has gone 8-for-12 with a home run, a triple, three RBIs and five runs scored. Click Here to see his two-run home run against the Minnesota Twins on May 16.

Dietrich posted a six-game hitting streak from May 7-13, as he has now found himself in the starting lineup on an every day basis. On May 12, Dietrich, who is hitting .310 over his last 10 games, recorded his first home run of the season against the Atlanta Braves.

Wieters was big for the Nationals in his first return to Baltimore back on May 8-10, and has hit safely in each of his last seven games. Over his last 10 games, the catcher has hit .308 (12-for-39) with two home runs, a double, eight RBIs and three runs scored.

Wood has appeared out of the bullpen for the Cincinnati Reds in three games over the last week, striking out four in 3.1 innings of work.

Below is a complete list of the Baseball #ProJackets in the majors this season.
