Nissan #ProJackets Baseball Report

Aug. 25, 2016

THE FLATS – Highlighting the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the professional ranks this week was a trio of hurlers in Jed Bradley, Jake Esch and Luke Bard who were all promoted within their respective organizations.

Called up to the Gwinnett Braves (Triple-A) on Aug. 20, Bradley got the start night versus the Rochester Red Wings. The lefty allowed just one run on five hits over six innings on the mound. He struck out nine of the 18 batters he faced for the game.

Promoted on Aug. 9, Esch picked up his second win for the New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A) on Aug. 20. Esch, who has started three games thus far for the Zephyrs over the last few weeks, is 2-0 with an ERA of 4.82 at the Triple-A level. He has totaled 11 strikeouts in 18.2 innings of work and has posted a total of 93 strikeouts on the year over a total of 137.0 innings between Jacksonville and New Orleans.

Making the move to the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts on Aug. 14, Bard has played in six games for the Lookouts. He has totaled 10.0 innings of relief work for the Lookouts over the last two weeks.
