Hamilton-Carter, Fogdemark have Solid European Championship Showings

Latvia – Georgia Tech rising sophomore Danielle Hamilton-Carter averaged a team-high 15.1 points a game for Sweden at the U20 European Championships, as the Swedes finished with an overall record of 4-5 in Latvia.

Hamilton-Carter ranked seventh overall in scoring at the championships, while also grabbing 5.4 rebounds a game. It was her first live-game action since the 2009 European Championships. Hamilton-Carter, who finished in double figures in her final eight games, scored 20 points and had nine rebounds in Sweden’s 80-51 win over Bulgaria yesterday.

Incoming freshman Frida Fogdemark led Sweden and ranked 16th overall in rebounding with 6.7 a game. Her 4.8 defensive rebounds ranked 12th overall. She also scored 6.9 points a contest at the Championship.

Both Yellow Jackets started every game and they each averaged over 24 minutes a game.
