@GTWBB Gives Back

Sept. 17, 2015

THE FLATS – In an act of generosity and appreciation, the Georgia Tech women’s basketball team donated to the Alexander-Tharpe Fund to show support of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association.

“I am very proud of our seniors Aaliyah Whiteside, Roddreka Rogers and Irene Gari for their leadership in organizing our team’s efforts to give back,” head coach MaChelle Joseph said. “I believe it is important to always understand and appreciate why we have the opportunity to be successful. They decided it was important to show their respect and appreciation for the Georgia Tech Athletic Association. I am very fortunate to work with such amazing people.”

The Yellow Jackets wanted to show gratitude for the athletic and academic experience the Georgia Tech Athletic Association provides for its student-athletes. The women’s basketball team wanted to thank the athletic association for all that it does and show support for their community. Head coach MaChelle Joseph also joined in on the effort.
