This past week of practice really tested our character. We went four really tough days of hard work, and I can say that I am really impressed with what we accomplished. We got better each time we stepped on the court, and everyone seemed like they were really focused.
I am amazed at how our freshmen have adapted so quickly to the system, and I am even more amazed at the leadership that the upperclassmen have shown. Coach was telling us the other day how quickly the season was coming…and how practice is going to take on a whole new meaning. I personally can’t wait. I think that it really is our time to show everyone what Georgia Tech Women’s Basketball is all about.
Oh yeah, if you want to see some true competitiveness…you gotta see me and Janie at practice. When I say these girls get extra hype! But we make practice fun…you have to. I think that me and Janie believe in the philosophy of “if you love what you do, its not work”. And trust me, we love this game. So I give this week of practice and “A”. Why? Because if we dont keep each other up…no one will.
