Atlanta – Georgia Tech women’s basketball gets set to host the ninth annual Atlanta Marriott Holiday Invitational when they welcome Alcorn State, Mississippi State and Tennessee State for two days of competition at the Alexander Memorial Coliseum Dec. 29-30.
The tournament will tip off in the Thrillerdome at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29 when the Yellow Jackets (7-3) face the Lady Braves of Alcorn State (3-5). The Jackets lead the all-time series with Alcorn State 2-and-0, with the last meeting on Dec. 31, 2004 resulting in a 62-43 Tech win.
Tech enters Thursday’s tournament opener with a 4-and-1 record at home, losing to Georgia, 59-69, on Nov. 3 at the AMC.
