Four Jackets Make GCAA All-Region Golf Team

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Georgia Tech’s Bartley Forrester, Connor Howe, Christo Lamprecht and Ross Steelman have been named to the All-East Region Golf Team, announced Sunday by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Players were honored across the country among six regions.

All four players are ranked among the nation’s top 110 in the nation according to Golfstat – Lamprecht at No. 35, Howe at No. 84, Forrester at No. 107 and Steelman at No. 109. The foursome has been the core of a Yellow Jackets’ team that has won five tournaments in 2021-22, won the NCAA Columbus Regional and finished as the runner-up in the ACC Championship. Tech is ranked No. 11 in the nation as continue play at the NCAA Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz. They have combined for 19 top-10 individual finishes.

Lamprecht, a sophomore from George, South Africa, has finished in the top-10 of six tournaments, tying for third place in ACC Championship stroke play and winning both of his matches in the match play championship. Forrester, a junior from Gainesville, Ga., was co-medalist in The Calusa Cup in early April and has earned three other top-10 finishes this year. Howe, a junior in his fourth year as a Yellow Jacket, has three top-10 finishes and five other top-20 showings. Steelman has six runner-up finishes, including a runner-up performance at the NCAA Columbus Regional.
