ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s Steven Blackwood was named to the Academic All-District III University Division Baseball Team for the second consecutive year. The junior outfielder will be on the ballot for the Academic All-America team, which will be announced on May 31.
Blackwood leads the Yellow Jackets with 57 RBI in 2005 and is batting .361.
Blackwood carries a 3.42 grade point average in Biology.
The Yellow Jackets are ranked fifth in the nation this week by Collegiate Baseball. Tech hosts Virginia Tech for a three-game ACC series this weekend at Russ Chandler Stadium.
