2018 Signing Class Announcement
THE FLATS – Another set of accolades rolled in on Thursday for two Georgia Tech women’s basketball future Jackets as Elizabeth Balogun and Elizabeth Dixon were named to the official fosters for the Jordan Brand Classic Thursday.
The Jordan Brand Classic, now in its 17th year, will return to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Sunday, April 8. The double-header will showcase the greatest male and female high school basketball players. Jordan Brand family member Maya Moore will be on-site for the women’s matchup, which she helped initiate in 2015. Action will tip at 3:30 p.m. with the girls game first.
Earlier this week, both Balogun and Dixon were named Naismith Trophy National High School All-Americans with Balogun earning second team honors and Dixon receiving honorable mention. The pair are also set to take part in the McDonald’s All-American Game at Philips Arena in Atlanta on March 28. Additionally, the future Jackets were tabbed to the Naismith Trophy Midseason Girls Basketball Watch List by the Atlanta Tipoff Club earlier this year.
