Georgia Tech looks to get back to winning ways on Sunday when it faces its first nationally ranked opponent this season. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a hard-fought loss against Miami last Thursday. Despite winning the second half, 37-29, Tech couldn’t erase its halftime deficit to overcome the Hurricanes. Kayla Blackshear recorded her second consecutive double-double behind 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Duke, which sits in first place in the ACC as the only remaining undefeated team in the league, is riding a 10-game win streak dating back to its only loss of the season on Nov. 25 against UConn. Most recently, the Blue Devils edged Clemson, 66-56, in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Celeste Taylor leads the Blue Devils offensively, averaging 12.9 points, while Elizabeth Balogun boasts a team-best 5.9 rebounds per game average.
Georgia Tech took last year’s meeting against Duke in Cameron Indoor Stadium, 59-46, behind four players in double-figures. However, Duke leads the all-time series, 62-11, despite Tech having taken two of the last three meetings.
