Georgia Tech looks to get back to winning ways on Thursday when it meets Syracuse. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a close loss at Miami, falling to the Hurricanes by a 46-45 margin in the final two minutes. On the season, four Yellow Jackets are averaging double-figure scoring numbers, paced by Nerea Hermosa and Lotta-Maj Lahtinen at 10.5 and 10.3 points per game, respectively. Lorela Cubaj is averaging a double-double behind 10.1 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.
Syracuse brings an 8-8 overall record into the Thursday night matchup to go along with a 1-5 mark in the league with its only ACC win coming against Clemson. The Orange have lost four straight outings, dating back to their last win against UMBC on Dec. 19. Teisha Hyman leads Syracuse offensively, averaging 14.9 points per game, while Alaysia Styles led on the glass, securing 6.7 rebounds per game on average.
Georgia Tech and Syracuse are meeting on the hardwood for the 10th time in program history on Thursday. The Orange lead the all-time series, 5-4, but the Jackets have taken three-consecutive in the series. Tech captured its first-ever win inside the Carrier Dome in the last meeting in Syracuse in 2020.
