Georgia Tech returns to the hardwood in the middle of a four-game road swing on Tuesday coming off road win at Clemson just 48 hours prior. Four Yellow Jackets added double-figures to the scoreboard against the Tigers paced by 16 points from Sarah Bates off the bench. Bates hit five three-pointers in the outing to record a season-high in scoring. Lorela Cubaj finished with her eighth double-double of the season behind 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Duke has dropped the last two outings and meets its third-straight ranked opponent on Tuesday. The Blue Devils have fallen to North Carolina and Louisville, most recently. Shayeann Day-Wilson paces the Blue Devils offensively, averaging 12.6 points per game, while Celeste Taylor contributes 11.7 points and a team-high 6.1 rebounds per game. Duke is 7-3 when competing at home this season.
Tuesday’s meeting will mark the 73rd on the hardwood between Georgia Tech and Duke. The ACC foes last met in 2020 due to Covid-19. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series, 62-10, and have taken the last two meetings in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
