#TheBuzz, a Georgia Tech women’s basketball social media series, goes behind the scenes each week to get to know one of the Yellow Jackets. This week, the Yellow Jackets got to know junior Aaliyah Whiteside.
Whiteside, a junior from Memphis, Tenn., had a strong sophomore campaign last season. Whiteside averaged 7.8 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game as she transitioned into the forward position. She scored in double-figures during the first three games of the season and had 11 games overall in double-figures. Whiteside recorded two 20 point games and scored a career-high 21 points twice against #2 Notre Dame and Boston College.
Whiteside and the Yellow Jackets host Flagler in an exhibition game on Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at McCamish Pavilion. Season tickets can be purchased online, by calling the 888-TECH-TIX or by visiting the ticket office at 150 Bobby Dodd Way.
