The Women's Basketball Team Prepares For the Season With Preseason Retreat

Atlanta – The Georgia Tech women’s basketball team used the fall break as an opportunity to escape to the Twin Rivers Resort in the mountains of north Georgia and work on team unity and chemistry.

With two days of practice behind them, the team left Atlanta Sunday evening on a two-hour drive to Demorest, Ga., a tiny town nestled in the North Georgia Mountains. The team stayed in rustic cabins, deep in the woods enjoying the peaceful setting as way to concentrate and recharge after some intense practices, which were held at nearby Piedmont College

The Jackets also enjoyed cookouts, games, movies and other activities helping them to bond and know each other better.

Though it rained all day Tuesday, it didn’t prevent the team from having a spirited and challenging practice. After practice, the team headed south to Atlanta, returning to life as usual on Georgia Tech’s campus.
