DID YOU KNOW?
WR Nate McCollum’s (8 – above) 54 receptions are the most by a Yellow Jacket through the first 10 games of a season since Jonathan Smith had 57 catches in the first 10 games of then 2003 campaign. Notably, legendary Georgia Tech and NFL wideouts Calvin Johnson (2004-06) and Demaryius Thomas (2007-09) never accomplished the feat (Johnson had 52 receptions through 10 games in 2006; Thomas never had more than 46 catches in a season with the Yellow Jackets).
THE YOUNG VET
The Lee part of his last name gives him notoriety with Tech fans. But the Powell part of his name has a towering legacy too.
My column on Clayton Powell-Lee, who has used that shared lineage to become a quick study at free safety for @GeorgiaTechFB:https://t.co/M51yI6htCW

Competitive Drive Initiative
In a unified endeavor, Georgia Tech, the Georgia Tech Foundation, Georgia Tech athletics and the Alexander-Tharpe Fund have come together to accelerate funding for student-athlete scholarships with the launch of the Competitive Drive Initiative. The initiative kicks off with the Accelerate GT Match Program, where any new gift to the A-T Fund’s Athletic Scholarship Fund made through Dec. 31 will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Georgia Tech Foundation, up to $2.5 million. Should Accelerate GT reach its $2.5 million fundraising goal, the matching gift would result in a $5 million impact for Georgia Tech athletics.
