The GT Letter winners Club (GTLWC) extends a warm welcome to all its members with the first edition of the GT Letter winners Club newsletter.
The mission of the GTLWC is to make each student-athlete a lifetime member of the Georgia Tech Athletics family. We will support our family members through every phase of the athletic life cycle and strive to advance the Tech tradition of pursuing excellence in all our activities. We aim to continue building an environment where letterwinners maintain lifelong relationships and have a positive impact on future generations of Georgia Tech student-athletes.
Members receive immediate club admission upon matriculation from Georgia Tech and are eligible for all associated benefits, including discounted season tickets for home football and men’s basketball games, premier seating and parking, networking opportunities, the GT Letterwinner Newsletter, invitations to Georgia Tech Athletics special events and a GT Letterwinners Club auto decal.
The GTLWC, which is a non-dues paying organization, is great way to stay in touch with friends and former teammates, as well as providing professional and networking opportunities. The club holds a number of events each year to benefit Georgia Tech, including the Letterwinner Golf Tournament. Plus, letterwinners receive complimentary access to the Letterwinner Festival Area Tailgates inside the football stadium. The club also provides GT letterwinners with the opportunity to take part in events recognizing Georgia Tech’s rich history, highlighted by the annual Hall of Fame induction. Additional benefits for members include a 20% discount on the purchase of two season tickets for any sport, plus an enhanced game day experience exclusively available for former athletes.
All GT letterwinners have access to purchase tickets to the Letterwinner Lounge at Bobby Dodd Stadium (pictured right). Located in the north end zone, the suite provides indoor/outdoor seating and full catering (including entrees, side items, beverages and dessert) starting 90 minutes before kickoff and throughout the game. The suite, which is filled with GT memorabilia, boasts mounted televisions throughout the lounge and private men’s and women’s restrooms. Season tickets to the Letterwinners Lounge are a great value and a rewarding way to engage with the GT letterwinner community every home game.
Based on availability, single-game tickets to the Letterwinner Lounge are $100 per person and include stadium seating, lounge access and amenities. VIP season tickets are also available and include club seats for the season. Designated parking is also available for letterwinners adjacent to the baseball stadium on a season or per-game basis.
The club also focuses on support for our current student-athletes by advising, networking, and educating them about the GTLWC. In addition, proceeds and sponsorship from events such as the golf tournament support the GT Letterwinners Scholarship Endowment.
Lucius Sanford (Football, `78), executive director of the GTLWC and former GT football and NFL standout, coordinates letterwinner activities in conjunction with the steering committee led by current club president Jahmal Overton (Baseball, `00). The committee meets on the third Thursday of each month in the Athletic Association.
