Tech to Host Georgia in NCAA Super Regional This Friday-Sunday

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech will host Georgia in the NCAA Atlanta Super Regional this Friday-Sunday at Russ Chandler Stadium. Game times will be announced on Monday, and the winner of the best of three weekend series will advance to the College World Series.

Tickets for the NCAA Atlanta Super Regional will go on sale on Monday morning at 8 a.m. for Georgia Tech baseball season ticket holders and Alexender-Tharpe Fund contributors. All season ticket holders and A-T Fund contributors can purchase tickets by calling the Georgia Tech Ticket Office at (888) TECH-TIX.

Tournament ticket books for the super regional, covering all three games, are priced at $36 for reserved chairback seats and $30 for reserved bench seats.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday at 8 a.m. on the Georgia Tech website, www.ramblinwreck.com, and via phone orders.

The Yellow Jackets (44-19) swept through the NCAA Atlanta Regional last weekend with a 3-0 record against Jacksonville State and Texas Tech. The Bulldogs (41-21) won the NCAA Athens Regional with a 3-1 record against Middle Tennesse State and Clemson. Tech won two of three games from Georgia during the regular season.

Other Super Regional matchups include Vanderbilt at Texas, Florida State at Arkansas, Arizona at Long Beach State, Florida at Miami, Texas A&M at LSU, Tulane at Cal State Fullerton and UNC Wilmington or East Carolina at South Carolina.

All games from each of the eight NCAA Super Regionals will be televised by ESPN.
