THE FLATS – A minimum of 26 Georgia Tech baseball games will be broadcast this year on television or online via ESPN3 as part of another record-setting baseball broadcast package from the Atlantic Coast Conference. In all, no less than 140 ACC baseball games will have broadcast coverage in 2014.
Of Tech’s 26 TV games, 17 will air on ESPN3, five on CSS, three on the ACC’s regional sports networks (RSN) and the annual Georgia Tech-Georgia game in the Kauffman Tire Spring Classic for Kids at Turner Field will air on Fox Sports South. Each CSS telecast will also be simulcast on ESPN3.
“We’re excited about this television schedule and for the tremendous coverage our program will receive,” said head coach Danny Hall. “The ACC has always done a very good job in its exposure for college baseball and we’re honored to be a large part of it.”
Tech’s television exposure includes entire ACC home series versus Miami, Duke, Florida State and Virginia Tech and road ACC series at North Carolina and NC State.
In addition to the television coverage, all 56 games of the regular season can be heard on 91.1 WREK in Atlanta, the nation’s first 100,000-watt, HD college station.
Tech opens the 2014 season by welcoming VCU, Old Dominion and Radford for the Battle In Midtown February 14-16 at Russ Chandler Stadium. Season and single-game tickets are now on sale. Please call 1-888-TECH-TIX or visit RamblinWreck.com/tickets for more information.
