Atlanta Regional Bracket

ATLANTA–Earning a national seed in the NCAA baseball field of 64 for the fourth year in a row, Georgia Tech will host Vanderbilt, Michigan and Stetson in the NCAA Atlanta Regional, Friday through Monday, June 2-5, at Russ Chandler Stadium on the Tech campus.

Tournament ticket books are on sale now. Click here to purchase tickets.

“We’re really thrilled to be hosting a regional at Russ Chandler Stadium for the fifth straight year,” said Tech Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich. “Danny Hall’s team has played very well despite some key injuries, and they should be very proud of earning a national seed and the home field advantage that comes with it.

“I encourage all Georgia Tech fans to come out and support the Yellow Jackets in what will be a great weekend of college baseball. We’re fortunate to be one of only two schools in the nation to host a regional the last five years, and we want to be able to continue to host year in and year out. Our crowds have been very good all year, and we need to fill up Russ Chandler Stadium, starting Friday.”

Tech (45-16), the No. 8 national seed and the No. 1 seed in the Atlanta regional, opens against Atlantic Sun champion and No. 4 seed Stetson (38-22) Friday at 7 p.m. ET. Friday’s other first-round matchup, scheduled for 3 p.m. ET, pits No. 2 seed Vanderbilt (36-25) of the Southeastern Conference against Big Ten foe Michigan (42-19), the No. 3 seed.

The regional continues Saturday with games slated for 1 p.m. (losers’ bracket) and 5 p.m. (winner’s bracket). Sunday’s games are also at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., the latter the first possible championship game. If a second championship game is necessary, it will be played Monday at 3 p.m.

The winner of the Atlanta Regional will be matched up with the champion of the Lexington Regional, hosted by Kentucky and also featuring College of Charleston, Notre Dame and Ball State, in an NCAA Super Regional, scheduled for June 9-11 or 10-12 at a campus site to be determined.

Georgia Tech has earned its 21st NCAA bid in the last 22 years and is making its 23rd NCAA appearance overall, posting a 49-45 record in NCAA play. The Jackets won regionals in 1994, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2005, advancing to the College World Series in 1994 and 2002.

Since the current format began in 1999, the Jackets have earned a Top 8 national seed five times (2000, 2003-06). Tech is the only school in the nation to earn a Top 8 national seed each of the last four seasons, and the Jackets and Texas Longhorns are the only teams to host a regional each of the last five years.
