THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech women’s tennis team is set to host a pair of ACC matches at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex over the next few days. The No. 8 Jackets kick off the homestand welcoming Louisville on Sunday at noon before hosting Miami on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
THE SCENE: Georgia Tech, winners of the past six matches, heads into the action with a 12-2 overall mark and 3-0 league mark. The Jackets boast a 7-0 record when competing at home this season. Louisville sits at 10-3 this season and 1-2 in ACC play having most recently dropped a 6-1 match at Clemson on Friday. The Cardinals opened the season 10-3, marking the best start under head coach Mark Beckham.
Miami has opened the ACC slate going 3-0 and owns an overall record of 4-4. The Hurricanes, ranked No. 27 in the latest ITA polls, have won the last two matches. Miami is 0-3 on the road thus far on the young season.

ITA RANKINGS – Georgia Tech moved comes in at No. 8 in the latest ITA polls and has three players ranked in singles: No. 52 Rasheeda McAdoo, No. 91 Paige Hourigan and No. 95 Kenya Jones. In doubles, the Jacket duo of Johnnise Renaud and McAdoo sit at No. 14.
Miami boasts the No. 7 singles player in the country in Sinead Lohan and she is accompanied by No. 66 Estela Perez-Somarriba to represent the Hurricanes. Miami has one doubles tandem nationally ranked, Yolimar Ogando/Silvia Fuentes at No. 73.
LAST TIME OUT – The Jackets picked up their second ACC win of the season at Clemson, defeating the Tigers 5-2 last Sunday in their first ACC road match of the season.
