>> No. 21 Georgia Tech kicks off a stretch of five straight home games, and is at Russ Chandler Stadium for nine of the next 10 games, welcoming Georgia Southern for a two-game midweek series.
>> Live streaming video and Gametracker links for both games of the series are available at RamblinWreck.com. Both games can be heard on WREK 91.1 FM in Atlanta.
>> The Yellow Jackets squeaked out an 11-9 win over the Eagles earlier this season in Statesboro, thanks to a three-run home run from Zane Evans that broke an 8-8 tie in the eighth inning. Evans also pitched the bottom of the eighth inning to keep the lead, and Luke Bard finished it off in the ninth for a save.
>> Tech owns a 90-28 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1947. The Jackets are 50-14 versus the Eagles all-time in Atlanta, and have won eight of the last 10 overall. Four of the last five games have been decided by three runs or less.
>> Junior Sam Dove continues to pace the offense with his .418 average, which is second in the ACC. Dove, who leads the ACC with 38 hits, brings a career-long 15-game hitting streak into the GSU series. He has 10 multi-hit games in the steak and is coming off a 6-for-12 weekend at Boston College.
>> Freshmen RHPs Josh Heddinger (Tuesday) and Cole Pitts (Wednesday) are scheduled to start for the Jackets versus GSU. Heddinger picked up his first career win (in relief) when Tech and Southern met earlier this season.
