Blackmon All-Star Gallery

THE FLATS —
Georgia Tech #ProJacket Charlie Blackmon and former #ProJacket Mark Teixeira took center stage at the Major League Baseball All-Star festivities on Monday night, as Blackmon competed in the Home Run Derby while Teixeira called the action from the Baseball Tonight Desk for ESPN.

Blackmon, who hit 14 home runs in the first round of the Home Run Derby on Monday night, finished 0-for-2 with a first-inning lineout and a third-inning strikeout in his second all-star game appearance on Tuesday.

At the midway point of the 2017 season, Blackmon leads MLB in hits (117), triples (10) and total bases (214). He also ranks second in the National League in runs scored (72) and fifth in the NL in hitting (.319) and slugging percentage (.583).

Derek Dietrich will look to carry over his strong finish to the first part of the season into the second half of the year, as he hit .348 (8-for-23) with a home run and two doubles over his last 10 games before the all-star break.

Catcher Matt Wieters will look to help keep the NL East leading Washington Nationals atop of the division standings, while relief pitcher Blake Wood will attempt to help the Cincinnati Reds make a late season push in the NL Central Division over the second half of the season.

Fellow #ProJacket Dusty Isaacs will suit up in front of his home crowd on July 12 as a member of the Eastern All-Stars in the Eastern League (Double A), while Zane Evans decided to call it a career last week after five-plus years in the Kansas City Royals organization (Click Here).

Two #ProJackets in A.J. Murray (Biloxi – Double A) and Zac Ryan (Burlington – Class A) both moved up this week.

Below is a complete list of the Baseball #ProJackets playing professionally this season.
