Marcelle Finishes Fourth in Shot Put at NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior Steve Marcelle registered an impressive fourth place finish in the shot put on day one of the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.

Marcelle recorded the mark that earned him a fourth place finish on his third attempt of the shot put sequence with a 62 feet, four inch effort. The mark was the second best for Marcelle in his indoor career at Georgia Tech and earned him All-American honors in the event.

Tomorrow, Georgia Tech’s other competitor on the weekend at the NCAA Indoor Championships, senior Alphonso Jordan, competes in the triple jump beginning at 5:45 p.m. Fans are reminded that they can follow the action from Fayetteville via live stats at http://flashresults.com/2010_Meets/indoor/NCAA/.
