Lapsley Leads Jackets at USA Outdoor National Championships

CARSON, Calif. – Junior Andriane Lapsley advanced to the semifinals of the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.74 in the preliminaries on Friday night to lead Georgia Tech at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Lapsley, a native of San Antonio, Texas, will compete in the semis of the 100 at 3:25 p.m. ET on Saturday. Former women’s track star Amandi Rhett (2001-04) also qualified for the semis of the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.57. Both Lapsley and Rhett will also run in the 200-meter dash on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Former men’s track standout David Krummenacker (1994, ’96-98) clocked a time of 1:48.99 in the semis of the 800 meters to advance to the finals on Sunday at 6:17 p.m. ET.
