ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia Tech men’s tennis doubles pairing, juniors Michael Kay and Daniel Yun fell in the semifinal match at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships on Monday morning.
The Georgia natives defeated Tennessee’s Schipanshi and Valero, 6-4 in the quarterfinals to advance to Monday’s competition. The pair then fell to Florida’s No. 38-ranked doubles pair, Elliot Orkin and Maxx Lipman, 6-1, 6-2.
Up next, senior Carlos Benito and junior Chair Eubanks head to Tulsa, Okla. to compete in the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships beginning on Monday, Oct. 3. Eubanks will compete in the singles main draw while Carlos will fight for a spot in the main draw during the qualifying rounds. The No. 14-ranked doubles pair of Eubanks and Benito will also compete in the doubles main draw.
